Entry Grade 00 Gundam

Well here it is, the cheapest line on the model kit line Bandai ever produced. I don't know if it's actually the cheapest though, I get it in HK for about 25 HK$ which is equal to 2.5 US$ or 25k IDR so it's safe to assume that this thing is cheap as hell. Well of course after the shipping fee and customs tax, getting this baby here would cost a little bit too much, like 50k IDR or about 5 US$.

First thing first, this thing is the first gundam line manufactured China and it's meant to be marketed outside of Japan. With that being said, there's no Yen value on it's box like most gundam box would and it should be cheaper than most of First Grade Bandai usually offer. It has more colors, sure, but the color separation is sucks, not to mention the articulation hurts more than the colors, let's move on to the review.

Packaging

It's generally a good package, not as artistic as Bandai Japan would make but it's eye catching for me (probably the 00 gundam factor) and since it's not produced in Japan, the side of the box contain information about the gundam in English. The only thing stupid about the packaging is that the manual is written inside the package, so you have to wreck it open to see the manual. I hava a box fetish, so I see there's no reason for me to break the box just to get the stupid manual.

Runners

It's not much but what do you expect from a kit this cheap? The color separation seriously confused me, you'll get half of the side stomach in red and the other half in white, not to mention the red crotch and a fantastic (insert sarcasm sense here) blue GN sword II, and can't they give us TWO GN sword II instead of one? No polycaps joint by the way so they'll be as fixed as RHS could give, minus the details.

Assembling and Details

It's too simple, I can imagine someone who can't build this kit without a manual are either a three year old or some guy with an IQ below the kit itself. I mean it's completely clear which parts goes to where and you can't go wrong with this kit. The part separator they give is a nice (useless) bonus, it doesn't do shit for real but the word "00 Gundam" in katakana which they engraved to the separator is damn nice, thanks!

The sculpt is actually good, surprisingly good, it balances out with the immobilized kit but it's still aren't that relieving, haha.

Articulations

As you can see below, 00 lack articulations, for the price you've paid, they've done justice to the figure. So don't expect High grade levels of articulations, they're godly, I don't want to blab about the Master Grade so let's cut to the chase.

- Head rotates 360 degrees, swiveling back and forth, side to side.
- Hands moved forward about 80 degrees, and blocked by the static GN drive binder, moved backward about 20-30 degrees, palms is fixed, elbow is molded.
- Waist... forget about waist
- The foot goes forward about 70 degrees, backward about 40 degrees, thank god for the waist design, the feet rotates and swiveling of course, the knee is fixed, oh and it's on a ball joint.

Conclusion

(+) Good sculpt, at least it is sculpted quite nicely.
(+) The price is right, at least when I bought it at HK.
(+) Nice kit for beginners and it's going to be useful when you want to give your child/niece/grandson/anyone a present, could be a useful trolling material too
(+) The part separator, it's silly but it's a nice little bonus, like when you're watching a concert and you catch the pick the guitarist throw at you.

(-) The color separation, it's to be expected though
(-) The holes, oh the BIG, GIGANTIC holes in the backside and the inner thighs
(-) Seriously, can you add more colors to the kit? I'm feeling that this thing is a little bit lonely

So, it's a nice kit for beginner, you can buy it for your kids or your neighbor kids, or to troll someone else saying you've bought the High Grade kit just to be disappointed by this, err cheap products haha. The only reason of why I bought it is because this thing is 00, and I won't skip anything with 00 name on it as long as my wallet suffice :)
