Let's start with a brief introduction, who is Hatsune Miku, BUT I think we should dig a little deeper and start to know what Vocaloids are. ~~Vocaloid Wiki~~my reliable source, Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation. Basically it's a software for you to create your own song, sung by the mascot of each version of Vocaloid. Accidentally, vocaloid wasn't that hyped before until one day, in nico nico douga, on the era of Vocaloid 2, a user published a Hatsune Miku video holding (and spinning) a leek singing the ever popular levan polka.

Now, Hatsune Miku (初音ミク Hatsune Miku) is the first Japanese Vocaloid2 in the Vocaloid2 Character Vocal Series created by Crypton Future Media. It is considered as the most popular and well-known Vocaloid. The name of the title and the character of the software was chosen by combining Hatsu (初, first), Ne (音, sound), and Miku (未来, future) thus meaning "the first sound from the future." Introduction

This Figma was one of the exclusive figmas ever released, yes it's not just limited, it's EXCLUSIVE ~~I'm bragging a bit I know, sorry about that~~, hence is why the 'EX 003' code added after the Figma. Released after Konata Cosplay and Black Haired Shana, this limited wonder festival 2009 release was the first one to have DI:stage included in their package. It was fun. Oh and the ~~damn~~ papercraft ~~that took me 6 hours to built~~ is also one of the best feature this figure could ever give :3.

Lets move on to the review.

Packaging

What a dull box.

Is my first impression of the live stage version figma, but not until.

Holy effing sh!t epic stage papercraft!1!!

Yes I do believe, at first it was the papercraft that made me want to buy this lovely figma, since the box is too dull. But then I realize, hey this box probably wasn't that bad, it actually looks more exclusive with it's dullness. I thought about it for probably half a year before I finally had my hand on this beauty. When I unwrap it, it was truly a magnificent feeling to ~~finally get my hands on something limited exclusive~~ be able to achieve what I was dreaming for some time.

The Figma

The figma is awesome, the silver paint on the new Miku and glittery socks that build Miku's Zettai Ryouiki, and of course the extra face for miku :3

Weird face right? Thats why I refuse to use it on the review, I simply dont want my Miku to experience the horror of having an elongated head with small face and bigass twintail. Paint and Details

It's a good thing to know that the paint on this Miku are done nicely. I am worried that the silver finish or some of the paint will get sloppy job because this figma is an exact reprint of the original figma, but with a little changes on the shirt and stockings ;3. But I have to admit that the regular release had better paint on the tattoo part and also the synthesizer or whatever the call it on both miku arms, pictures as follows.

Like most figmas, articulations are superb, Miku could do many things and her clothes did not hinder her movements :3 Although I'm a bit scared to play with her waist joint since most figmas weak point is on their waist, and Miku's slender waist is one hell of a problem.

Playability

You don't talk about playabilty of this figma, with the keyboard, the DI:stage, the papercraft, this is one hell of a figma to play. You can create a little stage play, you can also swap the accessories and everything. It's not too late to get one of them now, you may still get it at a decent price. Miku's face is also one of the biggest attraction to this figma, the eyes-closed face makes a serene scene that no other figma (well probably BRS but BRS did not smile) could ever recreate.

Hooo boy, here goes the price, I bought mine for about 725k IDR, that should be around 6800Yen or about 69 Dollars. It shouldnt be as high as that but given the time I bought it and the accessories it gives, it all paid off eventually.

With that score I think it's pretty clear of how this figma do within the other figma, as a figma lover I encourage all you guys to get at least a copy of Miku, any miku would do fine if you want the figma, but the live stage makes all the differences, really. But I dont mind if I have to buy the regular release.
